Do pilots/crew hang out?

Reminds me of one of my copilots complaining that the flight attendants were "old, cranky and overweight". Meanwhile, he was old, cranky and overweight.

I took him out for beer just to watch him work himself up because the world was out to get him. Entertaining as hell.

Jumpsat once with a crew out of the shrinking ohio base. FO would not stop complaining about the "other" pilot group that was a part of the merger. Going on and on about their illegal tassle loafers they wear, not wearing the hat etc. Claimed he took pride in his uniform and appearance.

An hour earlier I watched him walk up to the gate with his hat on his bag, tie undone with top button sloppily open, old blue/red wings and my signature shoes

He was veryyyyyyy overweight too.


He also had some good conspiracies

This trip I got to listen to a former high time Air Whiskey CA make excuses and complain about not being at a legacy for 6 whole hours. Seriously maybe 10 minutes of quiet the whole flight.

Other two guys "hey, we are going out for beers. You coming?"

Ugh...this happened to me recently with a captain that is a LCA and has no degree. The whole 4-day literally consisted of their complaining why they were not at United while 3000 hr TT FOs are moving on. I wanted that 4-day over fast.

I like early shows (6:30-8:00) and working weekends. I'm weird I suppose. Tues-Wed-Thurs off is glorious.

There's nothing worse than when you have a pretty nice little Saturday planned at the Home Depot to get some wallpaper and maybe some flooring, bed bath and beyond (if you have enough time) and there's a million people there.

Woof. I haaaaaaaate early shows. 1400 or so? yeah, that'll do. Weekends? Take em or leave em... going out for dinner on the weekend is a "why are there so many people here?? we need a new plague" experience.

I say let 'em! All they're going to do is catch me picking my nose or touching myself. Because let's face it, when I'm visiting sites that can give viruses, I'm doing it on a tablet given to me and not the one I bought.

I try to give my Surface 3 camera a good 3-4 hours of uninterrupted time every day looking straight at my butthole.

That gets old real fast, and there is only so much nodding, and "um hum's" I can do. Even when you break out the company reading material, guys like that continue to ramble on.
