Drew allow me to intervene and give you some advice, which if you adhere to, will help you out immensely in your career as a Military aviator if you are lucky enough to get a slot.
Correct me if I am wrong but it seems you are mocking Bunk22. Bunk22 is an experienced Military pilot. You are a Cadet. The last thing you want to do is come off like a smartass to someone like him. Although you may not believe it, aviation is a very small world. Military aviation is even smaller. You do not want to start coming off as a smartass, even at your young age, even on the internet. At worst, you can rub someone wrong which will negatively effect your career at some point. At best, older experienced dudes won't like you (and most important) won't help you.
Part of being a Military pilot means hearing it as it is in the debrief. In this case, you were politely reminded by some dudes who have been there done that what your place is. It has happened to me and most everybody. You should probably say "ok, my bad, I didn't mean to come off like" or something to the effect. Don't try to be a smartass or quibble or anything. Just take away some valuable info, learn a lesson, and press on. It will benefit you in the future, I promise.
Another piece of advice which served me well is never pass up a chance to stfu. Your man pleaser will get you in more trouble than any other part of your body (sts). With that, I wish you the best of luck and every success in your career.
Old dudes, if you think I am way off base and this post sucks tell me and I'll just delete it and go back to reading the dash 1.
