Delta's strandby dress code

Can someone refresh my memory on the topic? I can't remember if I am allowed to wear khaki shorts or if I have to wear pants. This is a domestic flight not involving first-class i.e. an RJ. Thanks for the help.~Jay
 
Business casual. You can wear jeans in coach *I THINK* but be safe and where at least khakis.

Shorts for a non-rev? I would not take a chance of wearing shorts, go with the pants option.

DO NOT WEAR SHORTS.

Yeah yeah, you might be the only guy on the aircraft wearing a collared shirt and long pants, but welcome to the wonderful world of flying strandby.
 
I thought the Shorts was a mighty fine airplane...........

Do not wear shorts of any fabric while non-revving. Khaki pants would be fine, jeans are okay in coach, but do not wear shorts.

ok so tux it is....I couldn't remember what was required for coach...I just remember that it was a bit more lax than business class. Thanks for the help.
 
Business casual for first class or if coach jeans are fine. RJ's you can wear jeans also.

Dress halfway decent, this way if coach is sold out, they can seat you in Business/First, but, if you dress in a pair of jeans & a T-shirt, well, you will to play the non-rev shuffle & wait for the next flight.
 
I like to dress nice when I travel, so I wouldn't wear jeans. I was just thinking that atl will probably be one hot "mutha" and was considering dressing for the occasion.

i dont want to sound like a total geek, but is that required for only delta or all airlines? i mean it makes sense if you are getting a free ride but is that a delta policy or an airline wide policy?

Required at most, if not all airlines. "Free" ticket=play like we're still in the 50's and 60's when people cared what they looked like.
