Delta's strandby dress code

FYI shorts are fine while nonreving on US Airways or America West. But don't expect any seats in the F cabin.

Really? I need to re-check the travel policy. I usually just wear slacks and a collared shirt in case I need to ride up front.

it's typically best to continue to wear slacks and a collared shirt since you never know when coach might fill up and all that is left is FC seats! ;)

Why would one list for coach if first was open? At NWA, we always listed in first (if available) and then would get pushed back to coach. Maybe that's because we did not pay one cent for non-rev travel.

Good grief, Batman!

Play it safe, put some pants on and a collared shirt when non-revving.

It's not THAT hard people! Sheesh!

Sometimes the gate agents make up their own rules at times about attire and if you think you're going to argue with them about the dress code and win, au contraire mon frere!

Ask Kristie about her $20 shoes in Dusseldorf!

where did i say one would only list for coach? you always list for both..when coach fills up, you have first to fall back on or vice versa...

at DAL, first will get filled up domestically but going overseas, coach always fills first...the thing is, is that even domestically coach might fill up first and there just might be a fc seat open so you never want to take the chance of *only* being able to sit coach... that was my point.

ahh yea.. my $20 shoes (they so didn't go with my outfit!)..the gate agents wouldn't let anyone going for first class (non-rev that is) wear open toed shoes.. so even though i had regulation (domestically) shoes, they weren't good enough for the agents.. .so i bought some $20 pink turkish moccassins (closed toed) and was able to get into first class with that - without being able to buy those, i would have had to miss the flight because coach was booked!! I've had similar circumstances non-revving out of Florida and Alaska in which the gate agents also had that problem...so it's not *just* overseas

so don't tempt fate when it comes to domestic or international non-rev travel!

I thought, "Why would one worry about coach filling up, if they listed for first?"

At NWA, if you listed for first and it filled up, you automically rolled over to coach. You did not have to list for both.

If you listed for first, a less senior person listed for coach, and first filled up, you would bump that person back a slot.
