Delta...

Any thoughts on interviewing people from companies that have "The Flow"....but aren't part of the "Flow crowd"?
Eg. Hired post flow rights?

With the "Guaranteed Interview"....if of course you meet all the terms and conditions....says that interviewees will come after the most junior flow eligible has had the opportunity to flow.
So does this present a blockage for those of us that have no ties to wait for the metered "Flow Up-ers" , yet we'd be more than happy to interview and go?

And absolutely the application has been in.
We've had 1 leave so far that wasn't a flow.
 
I know of two FOs who have left my respective company for Delta.

One, member here, did a great deal of work and put in the time to get what he deserved.

The other, not a member here (AFAIK), could be considered a legacy-pilot offspring.

Otherwise, I know of not a single FO that has been hired at Delta with the generic ATP-ME, CL-65 Type, and a couple grand of SIC time. There are always additional qualifiers (which may be viewed by those with DLNet access) that have helped some FOs hit the career jackpot.

There are a few FOs from 9E that have gone as off the street hires. Not sure the exact number but it's more than 2, I know that for sure.

They're said to have recommendations from people very high up the management food chain.

IIRC at least one of those was a military guy that was waiting it out at 9E until hiring began.

If so, thats a background additional connection that most of us don't have.
Negative, but he had TPIC time and heavy international time. It does seem to be only interns or HIGH up management recommendations, not even legacies yet. Atleast the ones I know, one even being a fighter jock with a few thousand hours.

Yes, they will hire a first officer and have. The one I talked to yesterday was an off-the-street hire, not an intern.
