Delta/US Airways to sue US over route plan rejection

I don't want to make it sound like I believe there is a conspiracy here, but it almost sounds like the counteroffer is "insufficient to ensure competition" because it doesn't involve Southwest, or at least gives Southwest a chance.

I'm just saying... :dunno:

SWA deserves a "chance"? In a "deregulated" industry? Why should they be (essentially) GIVEN access to a market that 5 years ago they couldn't have cared less about. Now all of a sudden, they must be afforded the right to fly there and get access to slots bought and paid for by other companies... Oh.. and before you get into that "competition" thing... I haven't seen many ads lately touting "THE lowfare airline"... maybe because it just isn't true anymore.

LCC does mean US Air, it also means Low Cost Carriers. There is a reason that Parker picked it to mean US Air, but that does not invalidate what it meant before.

Otherwise, carry on. There is no doubt in my mind that having the majority hold on NYC domestic and int'l in a top priority.
