Delta taking apps

Just for <edited> and giggles I'm going to apply with my mighty 3500TT with no Turbine PIC. I'll let them know I have a ton of street cred though.:guns::guns:

Plato's unofficial mins were 1500 for fighters, 2000 for bombers/transport, 3500 for airline and, 6000 for corporate. I think they pretty much stuck to that this last time around.

BTW, do you get to re-interview? If so, I'd call them as soon as hiring restarts.

No. I am one of those guys that passed all the computer testing but not the panel/HR interview. . . . Rats!! Let me tell you it is a long flight home from Atlanta to SLC afterward. You go over every bit of detail in your head to figure out where you screwed it up. Anyway, I would love for them to change it as they are still the place I would prefer to spend the rest of my flying career.

You just need to figure out who the next company it is that Delta will merge with, and get hired there.;)

When I interviewed (unsuccessfully :( ) in March of 08, the chief I spoke with before the interview told me the competitive mins for non military pilots were about 4000 hours TT and somewhere around 1500 turbine PIC; .

Just below the non-military pilots and their hours required, were the other than Naval Aviators hours requirements, then Naval Aviators hours requirements :D

Delta has always had low minimum flight time requirements. Prior to 9/11 there were no requirements. They actually have unpublished mins based on other qualifications.

You guys really, really don't want to know how much turbine PIC I had when I was hired.

I'll tell ya how much TPIC Bill had when he was hired with DL: 0. Yup, 0.

He had lots of PIC time, but no TurbinePIC. None. He was hired in Oct 1998.

Remember, I went drinking with that fNWA 747 wrench chick you knew from Skyway ;).

Back when I was at AirTran I had more jet-PIC than most of the captains I flew with. I had been an airline pilot longer than some of them as well.

I have a former flight student who was hired at DL close to a year before me. Not all career paths are created equal. Funny thing is, I'm not upset or put out by it at all. Apparently, I taught him enough to suceed.
