Delta/Endeavor SSP Extended to All Pilots

And it shouldn't.

I'm sure I'm on every married parents "Must Kill Now" list, but tax advantages for having a marriage certificate and/or having children are counterintuitive.

Otherwise, two people buy a hot dog. @Autothrust Blue pays 8.25% sales tax, I pay 6% because I'm married and @scooter2525 pays 4.5% because he's both married with children.
Probably less than that with 24 kids.

I'm glad that "someone" is furthering humanity, but I engage in a good amount of productive economic activity all by myself without furthering the American race, and pay higher taxes as a result of this, um, "feature."
So much hatred towards love on here.
That is not the point, at all.

@ATN_Pilot I wouldn't be throwing rocks at a glass house here. Your business, can also be argued, gives 'unfair' tax advantages. So I wouldn't be talking right now.

You must have missed my hundreds of posts in which I agreed and said it was ridiculous that I get these tax breaks. I vote against my own self interests because it's right. Just like the guy to my left.

Wikipedians would flag what you just wrote as using "weasel words" ("Some folks..."). It's okay to call @ATN_Pilot by name.

He's just very insecure, so he feels the need to lash out whenever someone challenges his ideas of "love" and children.

It's okay, Wookie, lash out! I still love ya, even if you are a whipped old man with dad jeans! ;)

Actually, I was also talking about you!

I'm pretty sure my wife and I pay more in taxes than you do. We also have a child.

Watch out for the broad brushes.

(1) The biological imperative is somewhat strong here, don't worry.

I'm not telling you to turn it down. Take every break you can get. The rich sure are!
I do agree that if your having kids, you need to be able to afford to feed, clothe, shelter them even if there is no government subsidy. That being said, going to first year pay is a challenge.

I always tell regional guys to keep a strike fund that doubles as a mainline newhire fund. I went from about $90k as an RJ captain to $45k as a 717 FO first year. That wasn't fun, even as a single guy with no kids.
