Delta Capt locked out of cockpit

FO locked in cockpit all alone! Ahh, the horror...
At least after they landed the captain was able to get off the plane while the FO is still stuck in the cockpit.

Yea but the FO had to pee so he used the left seat. Figured he won't be sitting there for a couple years.

Heh. The aircraft involved was MD-90, N930DL, but the photo on the news article is clearly the 737, N390DA.

Oh … I just made myself sad.

And my inner airplane dork wonders if N930DL underwent some minor surgery and got upgraded from an MD-88 to an MD-90? Then again, I also wonder how N930DN feels that all this attention is getting misplaced onto other planes when it was the one that had to suffer the indignity of being landed by the FO?

Can't wait for the report in a few days that it was done on purpose. FOs reasoning, he tells the police that he wanted to prove to everyone around the world that FOs can fly the plane.

That's why I like medevac. You can wear whatever you want underneath the flight suit and on the empty return leg, flight suit is optional :D
I love it when crew scheduling calls and says they have a flight for me and I dont need to wear the uniform. Either rescue flights, or freighter flights.

I assume this particular aircraft will find its place at the museum in ATL because it's so special? Frankly, I think they outta paint a mural of the FO on the biggest building at KATL. But, that's just me.....
