Delta announces 75 CS100 purchase

I think I've opened a window in a jet maybe twice in the last five years.

If you're hot up front, they're hot in back, RUN THE PACKS.

And they can't hear you on the ground when you scream from upstairs in the bigger jets.

Actually on the Jungle Jet the temp in the cockpit can be 5-10 degrees warmer than in the back with the sun beating in the windows. I opened mine today as a matter of fact. It was glorious.

Best I saw on the CRJ was 47C in the flight deck. I think my balls permanently stuck to my leg.

Actually, sorry. I misspoke. Was only 37 on the flight I was thinking of, but then I remembered one where it got up to 43 on a plane with no APU.

IF you really need air just crack a window for takeoff:

Well, at least on the Dash-8, you had that flight deck fan that took hot air from the 200F degree pavement through the nose wheel well and pumped it into the broiling cockpit.

But hey, you had that 16 segment boot deice system to knock that trace of ice off that one day a year going into CLT...

I'm just happy my Dash 8 has an APU that can atleast get the temperature down to "Georgia in the summertime" temps :D...and say what you will, but ole DashTrash can carry a literal sheeeet-ton of ice...I have no qualms about going across the Cascades/Montana/Alberta in her.

You don't fly a Dash...

Got to 35C that I know of on a APU deferred day. 6 legs. Missed my commute home. Since when is XJT at B24? Really? #livingthedream 8)
