Delta announces 75 CS100 purchase

I had a guy say he turned down his United class to stay at Skywest and "make history" bringing the E175 on property as initial cadre. "I'll go to United in a couple years after thats done, way too exciting to leave now". There's some weird stuff coming from that place. I wonder if he has left now that they have perfected everything Ejet related.
"I'm going to not go to United so I can bring this 10 year old airplane online, so I'll look good to United". Pilot logic.

A lot of people.

I flew with a lot of captains who were like "well, when I go to Delta..."

"Oh, cool, you have a class date?"

"No, I'm like two years behind on my logbook. But once I update that I'm going to apply."

"...right. That's exactly how that works."

Oh I got stories, bro.

We will be halfway down the draft beer list and I'll still have more, "if you think that was bad, wait until you get a load of THIS one…"

Time to bid a long PHX layover! Senior guy buys!

If I was offered something better than a regional, I can't see a reason to refuse it, even if it's not where I want to be when the music stops. Obviously everyone has a different set of what's required to make it better, but.....United. I honestly can't think of anything that would disqualify them as being worse than any regional. Even if you are bringing on a new aircraft type.

Cool story, bro! :)

The 88 has an opening side window. I'm not stupid enough to open it though.
Yeah I get it. It's an antique. Too bad that state of the art airframe Delta picked to replace it doesn't even have one. I know for some it could be considered a minor detail but I like the option to being able to air out the electronics saturated greenhouse we sit in on the ground when it's needed. It also comes in handy when one might forget to hand out the security sheet first thing in the morning before one has had their coffee too. :D:D:D

Oh good lord.

Pilot math.

Those couple of years he waited, even if he was even able to get in, will ultimately cost him a couple hundred thousand dollars and hundreds, if not a few thousand seniority numbers.

"But I was initial cadre on the J-32 at Trans World Express!"

"Sure gramps, let's go ahead and take your pill, get you bathed and put you to bed."
Dude, you wouldnt beleive the ish I saw and heard while I was there. The best was when I went to SIM and all the checkairmen were convinced SkyWest was getting 757's to fly for UAL because we could do it cheaper. I would just sit in the corner at Flight Safety quietly and eat my cup of noodles which made them suspicious I wasn't drinking the Kool Aid.

Same stuff. Different aircraft and/or airline. "The announcement is just around the corner that we'll be doing flying for Southwest!"

Ok. You hold on tight to that while I go ahead and finish my degree and update my logbook/apps.

I've absolutely no idea what you're talking about... :)

Is it true? Bombardier still hasn't figured out how to put an openable side window on their planes??

I guess we'll just roll around with the escape hatch open.

I think I've opened a window in a jet maybe twice in the last five years.

If you're hot up front, they're hot in back, RUN THE PACKS.

And they can't hear you on the ground when you scream from upstairs in the bigger jets.
