Don’t know yet. Copenhagen staying near the central train station. Tivoli is something kids might like with the rides. And I want to see the colorful area of Nyhavn.
Don’t know Stockholm either. Also staying near central train station. I see an amusement park called Grona Lund. Kids probably would like that.
Otherwise I guess just the usual tourist sight seeing stuff.
13, 9, and 2.5 yr old. Open to suggestions, but we will have a stroller for the youngest.

Also open to suggestions from Copenhagen to Stockholm. I thought trains are fast, but looks to be 5-6 hours. May as well fly to Arlanda?

When you're in Copenhagen, Billund isn't too far and that's where Legoland and Lego House are, if your kids are into that. In Copenhagen check out the Experimentarium, the kids will enjoy that. I'd fly CPH-ARN, it's like 45 min and if you took the train, even the high speed one (X2000) takes a good 5+ hours. In Stockholm check out the Vasa Museum, ABBA Museum is also cool - even if you're not super in to their music. Skansen and Junibacken are fun and right there too.

Other Copenhagen things...
Climb the steeple at the Church of Saint Anna Gade. Need tickets ahead of time for a time slot.
Take a water taxi harbor bus. Way cheaper than a river cruise and had some great views.
The Torvehallern has some amazing food. Especially the smorrebrod.
You can walk the walls at Kastellet. Can get pretty busy though.

Half Swedish, spent my summers over there growing up. This trip was Denmark and southern Sweden. Have friends in Stockholm that we usually see, will hit them up next time. The SEA-CPH flight is great on SAS and usually has a lot of open seats.
Skansen is cool for the whole family in Sweden. I know some good bars in Stockholm but kinda worthless if you don’t want to knock one back.
Copenhagen is hilarious in it’s own way. I dare you to say “Wow, that’s an expensive sandwich” and wait for the lesson on how that sandwich is much more expensive in the US.

Kronborg castle in Helsingør is cool too.
It’s like a frog in boiling water. Prices have increased so much in the US it’s crazy eating out can be cheaper in Scandinavia now. Staff get a living wage, no tip button, and no rush to clear the table make eating out a pleasure there.

I paid to book ours. Normally we go to Michigan for summer anyway, and with Spirit gone, Delta was showing $1475 for 4 people one way from LAX to DTW.
So I combined a Europe trip. LA to Copenhagen outbound, return from Stockholm to Michigan via Toronto. $4398 multicity roundtrip for all 5 of us. Economy (as opposed to basic economy) so we get free checked bags and seat selection. Not a bad deal.
August is London. Used our new 75k mile gift from company to book flights from Michigan to London. And then used our positive space benefits to book London to LA (through SEA of course).
So Europe twice this summer. And thinking of booking a Disney cruise out of Southampton as well, since the flights to/from London are basically free (minus imputed taxes).

That’s the museum right? I believe it’s right near that amusement park. We will try to do both in one day. That part of Stockholm, at least.
That’s why it’s hilarious. The person said, “Yeah, we pay a little more, but what does health insurance, university, clean streets and a public transportation cost you, oh you have to pay for that separately? Enjoy your five dollar footlong”
Yeah, I got rekt by a local… hard. Publicly. And he was right.
It is, it’s like one of those walking history museums with people dressed in period attire doing old-timey Swedish arts and crafts, super neat. Pretty much adjacent to the amusement park.
