Interesting times at SFO today, an air conditioning unit caught fire on a hangar roof.

Nope, that’s the Air Canada hangar after the pot approval for air transport workers.

Red Arrows! Totally cool show. One time I saw them before this was 1996 over the Bornemouth Pier. They are touring North America now - don't miss it.

In other news, got introduced to S. Kirby and did not have a resume to shove into his hand. Bummer.

Went into the woods near Grayling, Michigan to photo/draw/paint wildlife and spotted three Bald Eagles. Here is one, the other two took off as I was bringing my camera up.

I REALLY need to invest in a real camera and a good zoom lens or two.

The second photo is great!! Eagles look so alert, so watchful, so wary, so resolute, so commanding, so powerful and so very fierce. Always enjoy seeing photos and videos of them.

It kind of shocks people that don't live with them, but they are like the rats of the sky too.
That's what I've heard. Where they are very common, like in Dutch Harbor from the videos I have seen, people don't seem to think much of them for some reason. I'm guessing it's because where there are a number of people, the eagles tend to scavenge far more as opposed to hunting/being a predator. There are a few out by the ranch here, but I've only seen them from a far distance. When we take some atvs around the area, I've started carrying some chicken or lunch meat or what ever I can find in the frig in a baggy in case I ever get the chance to feed one. I think they are more interested in the live chickens we have. lol I have protective netting though over their area and so far so good.

That last photo is just wonderful. What an expanse of peaceful beauty. Where is that? It is close to where you live?? What a place. How are Jenny, baby girl and Mama doing?? Hope you are all enjoying the Summer. Bejebus is that a great white?? Was it just washed up on the beach???
It’s about 30mins SW of the home drome, not far. We are spoiled here no doubt, beautiful wx all summer. Everyone is doing great. It’s a Salmon Shark, a cousin of the Great White. This one was about 6’ long, they are also six gill sharks like the Great Whites. It was dead and washed up on the beach, but there have been at least 3 of these caught by fisherman this year.

I'Il be damned....never heard of a Salmon shark before. It really resembles a Great White and it also has that same wide girth. How lucky are you to have that beach and those mountains in your back yard. Glad the family is doing well. Hope you had time for a little fishing.

I did, it’s been a great summer! I did a lot of errand/supply running with the Pacer. The newest crew member picked her first fish with Grandpa too.

How terrific is that? Man, the baby........well she's more little girl now than baby. She's just beautiful. How the time flies.......she's so big now. Probably talking up a storm too. That's a great photo of the two of you and the one with grandpa. Sue wants to know when the little brother or sister is happening. lol So glad your Summer is going well. The Pacer it seems was a great choice.....still can't get over how marvelous it must be set her down on a beach, or a field, or whatever terrain up there and the experiences/memories you have had in her and the ones that still await you.
