I gotta ask - is it hard to land an amphib like that on pavement? Seems like you don't have a lot of room for error on your pitch attitude as you bring it in.
I only have experience with a 185 on Amphibs. The only difference was the cockpit being much higher than normal.

Just takes getting used to the nose high sight picture. As for pitch.. mains first then fly the nose wheels on. Gusty cross winds are definitely more work. The pitch attitude is way more finicky on the water.. miss the sweet spot on the foats and your gonna have a bad day.

As Capt. says, crosswinds can be fun, otherwise it is just a big shopping cart. Sometimes the nose wheels will shimmy and leaves a black ribbon on the runway.

I hope I didn't give her a complex by confusing her with a mastiff! She's just a "big boned" boxer!

Actually she's pretty small for a boxer, but it's hard to tell until you see her next to a normal sized one. She was the runt of the litter. Most boxers are well over 60-70lbs and she barely breaks 50.
