Some panels are cooler than others
Apparently this knob has some significance?

Man I miss having a purpose. When I interviewed at my current company they asked, "How do you deal with the stress when the airplane malfunctions?"

I answered, "Uh....I'm on an airplane that first flew in the 60's, it malfunctions every time we fly. But it's my job to know everything, to know what to do no matter what's going wrong. Can I fix it? Do we need it? What can I do to continue the flight? We all are very very good at what we do. When something goes wrong, we just press on because it's a part of the job".

I could start an hour long conversation with you about why essential power is on 2, and trust me, it's more in depth than just some mnemonic the training department had me memorize....but that would involve me talking about the time I lost all electricity in Memphis, which would lead to the time I just about flamed out the #2 engine and convinced the crew it was a compressor stall..this we can talk over beers.

Three hours before this it was 600 overcast and three miles. Right at our minimums. So glad it cleared up. Dutch Harbor on a day like this is amazing.

That place (Well, most of Alaska) has been on my list for quite some time. I blew the miles saved up on the credit card to get a PS4 because I fly for free now....but the first plan was to burn the miles on an Alaskan Cruise. You have any particular recommendations for an east coaster who's never been? PM if you want, I don't want to deter from the topic or whatever.

Spent the past couple days around Port Townsend/Whidbey Island area...
The ferry, Kennewick, leaving Whidbey Island. As seen from Ft. Casey:

The fort's 2, 10in disappearing guns...one in it's loading position, the other in firing position:

This "little' guy was just hanging out...so I pulled over and got a quick shot of him:

If you could find the time in between your world travels, I would love to hear these stories over beer.
