Wow. Being predominantly west coast, I was under the impression that the short Dash 8s weren't being flown by any US carriers anymore. Cool to see that's not the case. I recall riding in the last row of one of those and having some young guy next to me fall asleep on my shoulder. Awkward doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.

I had free passes for the show but I was unable to make it. I always love seeing the Snowbirds too, they put on a great display.

Got a 55-210 lens for the Sony as a birthday present just in time for Fleet Week here in the bay area. Should be more than enough lens for the show. Today was practice. AF is pretty much worthless trying to track a fast airplane in the sky. Manual focus is kind of a pain with this camera, but I was able to set a focus near infinity after a few tries and get decent results with the airplanes. Lots of deletes though.
