Story time!
The winds were brutal last week, I felt bad for the folks going West:
I was one of those poor folks going west...from the Middle East to Colorado. Freaking painful doing 170kts GS at FL180 over the north Atlantic. We flew from St. John's to Milwaukee at 16,000 feet just to find winds under 100kts.
I know it's not the same, but flying my old Taylorcraft from PADL to Anchorage took me almost 6.5 hours. My ground speed was down to 10MPH at one point.We had about 100 knots on the nose yesterday heading out the chain. We were under 200kts GS. The trip home was fast though.

I think they're using the aircraft to qualify pilots for the IOE portion of training.Saw more of this guy today.
