@Adler where is the blue light coming from that's illuminating the Super Hornet? Or is that some kind of photoshop effect or something?

Running around with an external flash, setting it off behind each wheel. I've seen it done before, still just experimenting.

Turns out, trying it in a white shirt results in annoying ghosts of yourself.

Don't play dumb, you know I was passed out in the sleep room.

I know you were drooling on yourself in the crew room...But I still had to tease you since it was our last trip together.... I enjoyed flying with you... Now just try to stay out our of way in the slow E-jet. Never mind ATC always turns the freighters...

A friend got a photo of us landing:

Alex.

I'm in the Northern Delaware area which is only a few minutes away from Maryland. Maryland's new 139's sure are beautiful helicopters.

They occasionally land them down here in DC either at the pad by Buzzard Point or over at the US Park Police HQ on the south bank of the Anacostia. Not sure why. Fuel, maybe?

If I had to take a guess I'd say for fuel. I know they fly down to the children's hospital quite often by DCA.

All my life I've lived here and have yet to make it down to Gravely Point Park. I need to change that soon.

Saturday mornings when they're landing to the south is a good time.

It can get busy in the summer when everyone comes out on the weekend. And someone always thinks its a great idea to fly a kite.... Good views though when they are using the 19 Visual. If you use flightaware, you can figure out where the planes are coming from.

Still trying to learn night+flash photography, an airport friend volunteered his Defiant.

This is a 118 sec exposure, f/5.6, and running around the with one flash, triggering it behind each wheel, and once from near the camera to lighten up the whole plane

Nice! I've been light painting for quite some time but I still consider my results so-so. For my money, Troy Paiva is probably the best of the best.
