I will have to check that book out. Lituya is an special place, I was lucky to be able to do a lot of outer coast flying when I lived in up there. I don't think #TeamJNU gets to do much of that adventure flying anymore.A really great book that talks about the Lituya wave (and many others).

It was Mesaba, then was going to go to Sol, but came to Penair instead.Great to see that aircraft with a new operator. Formely from Sol Lineas Aereas, it flew to my home airport regularly. I live in the southernmost part of S. America (lat 54S), and now I see this bird in the other pole!!

In other news, the entire APLA union (which conglomerates AR, LAN Ar, SOL, and other little airline pilots) is declaring a strike in support of the crews fired from SOL as a result of a inminent bankruptcy.
