Seriously???

Could be aliens. But probably not.

The Chinese fleet goes all over the place. There's a bunch of news articles about dead north Korean fisherman washing up on the west coast of Japan because the Chinese fleet has overfished their coastal waters and the North Koreans are forced to go way offshore in boats not designed for open ocean.

Finally got to see the auroras

My 7 year old son recently asked if he’d ever get to ride on my jet…Day 1 of my trip had a quick ORD-ATW-ORD turn. Long story short, my wife and oldest boy came to Appleton for a quick lunch in the airport. I got to show him the office which is a memory I’ll truly treasure.

Dunno what this last week and weekend's brought you guys, but it's been one for the books for me. Allegiant had a 320 declare and land on 33L, to be met by ARFF and deplaned on the runway. From what I know it's still sitting in a hangar, and the latest pics I have show her up on jacks missing a MLG strut. It took a couple hours to get the plane towed off, because everyone was afraid the gear would collapse.

Certainly relieved that no one was hurt after everything.

I see Allegiant is doing Allegiant things

And in true day off spirits, I opted to hop on a jet and remind myself that the world is Actually right there, still ready to be explored. Wasn't really planning much, but ended up going up to Strasburg PA and seeing the Railroad. It's kind of sad, to see so few folks around it, and the museum looking like it's abandoned, but boy a steam engine still puts a smile on my face.

The Strasburg Railroad still runs the scenic train, and when I was in elementary school our class got to go out this way and ride on it when we had a field trip. They still sound the "Ghost Whistle," as they're returning from Gap, as the hills give some echoes. Was quite a treat!
