I bought it brand new in Feb this year.Nice
Also nice to see I'm not the only one driving a passat
I didn't see it the first time.....it's not the thin blue line flag is it?? I can barely make it out.I bought it brand new in Feb this year.
It's a 2015, immediately recalled. Test drove it with 97 miles.
@A Life Aloft : I'm not sure, but can you see the other flag in there?
Wow, nice photograph. Any idea how old it is?I didn't see it the first time.....it's not the thin blue line flag is it?? I can barely make it out.
Nothing as beautiful to me as this though........

It's framed with the certificate and hanging in the rec room of the ranch now. Every time I see it, I am still so deeply touched and honored. It means the world to me.
Damn, that's really nice. Lucky dog.Made it out for a quick flight View attachment 43422
Don't know......after I had been sent the flag and the certificate earlier this year, told about it in a pm, I never even knew this was a thing that someone could do for some nobody civilian. So I just looked on line and found a few pics and was just in awe imagining such a thing. I mean a Military crew is flying the flag for you in a current operations theater half way around the damn world. I am still just dumbfounded. I don't even deserve something like this. I figured this was only done for museums, a Gold Star family or a Vet or something like that. It's just about the most wonderful thing that anyone has ever given to me. I damn near slept with it the first three days after I got it. lolWow how old is that photo?
That's an older airframe that's why I was wondering.Don't know......after I had been sent the flag, told about it and the certificate, I never even knew this was a thing that someone could do for some nobody civilian. It's an incredible act. It means so much to me that he thought to do this for me. It's very awe inspiring. Every time I think about it, I choke up. Our flag and the Military and both their histories have always been very important and meaningful for me. This flag is just so special. It's why I have dedicated so much to working for various Veterans charities for decades and starting my own programs for them now. That's an older airframe that's why I was wondering.
Our flight crews took flags up with them very frequently. It was usually at the request of someone stationed/deployed there, for themselves or someone back home. The Navy, Marines, and Air Force did it too.

We have dedicated HH-60Ms specifically for MEDEVAC, and I think the USAF is supposed to start getting HH-60W Pavehawks within the next year or two.HH-60G. Nice bird. Though I wish we'd kept the HH-3Es.

HH-3s are/were awesome! Our G's are all falling apart, was never a great replacement for the HH-3 anyway, too many limitations. Yeah the W is supposed to replace, but like anything I'll believe it when I see them parked on the ramp.
