daily pic

Almost hit Bambi today. They were kind enough to exit the runway, so I came back and snapped a few pics:

(and for you joksters, I had my pistol with me, but didn't bring bungee's to tie it to the roof of my steed)

We need to take my 308 to Hoonah and put it to good use...I'll bet black tail deer is tasty!

How is the field at Frankenmuth? I thought about heading up there last year with my SO but never got the chance. Good condition and everything?

Very good condition. 2500ft with trees on the west end. They aren't a factor even at full gross.

There is a camping area on the north side of the field with a fire pit. The airport house has a nice bathroom with a shower. If you are looking to get away for a weekend, I highly recommend it. The airport manager is a great guy; his name is Jim.

I was no more than 20 feet away from two of them. I had my pistol because of the other critters in the area.
They were just looking at me as I was sitting on Bravo.

They were on the side of the runway the other day just outside the taxi lights and I tried to scare them off by running the engine up but they just looked at me. I was actually thinking I was "going" to hit a deer on that takeoff.

Sorry I wasn't there. 570 is a pretty nice one.

But, I had 2 trans con flights in this right here and sat across from Mary Kate Olsen

Some pics of the Phenom tour at my airport (we handled all their practice approaches during the certification phase).

Speaking of 570ER, I have about 3 friends who took their Commercial Multi-Engine checkrides in that airplane down in Daytona. One of them had a gear issue in it, but it turned out to be a bad switch...again.
