Oh good to know. So do they allow it to get used for charters too? Seems like it does pretty random stuff.
Yeah, it's operated under the MLW Air contract, which operates VIP charters for lots of random companies/people/teams/etc. http://www.mlwair.com/client.html

Random trivia about that jet: It was originally an Ansett airplane with an engineer panel. It's back to the standard 2-man cockpit now, but the IRO seat spins toward the accessory panel, and the FE desk is still there (great for meals!).

How is the food on those trips?
Much better than the usual slop. I did a charter for a MLB team last year, and once they were off we raided the leftover catering. Very, very good for airplane food.

Personally though, I greatly prefer the scheduled freight ops over VIP charters. Much less drama.

The C5 was taxing from Hickam to the Reef Runway. They apparently missed the hold short clearance and crossed 8L and ended up wingtip to nose with a 717 that had been cleared on to 8L from the other side. Took almost 2 hours to get a tug out to move the planes apart.

Nicely done @AZflyboy...nothing beats flying over the Cascades on a pretty day up here.

Made me miss home a lot to be honest. I forgot how beautiful the scenery is ever since I moved to Arizona not to mention that week of clear winter skies a week back was absolutely stunning. Planning on moving back to Oregon this summer though and I cannot wait!

Hahaha...that Federal prison would offer some nice views of airplanes from the upper floors for its inhabitants, if those are transparent windows.
