Well the answer is actually that this particular airplane's weight and fuel are in kilograms! So in actuality, we are landing with around 8500 pounds of gas. The -400's in our fleet came from carriers in Europe and apparently the conversion process to get it over to lbs was too expensive. A US pilot using the metric system.![]()
As a pilot that flies for an airline that uses strictly kilos, I should know that haha! But I've never seen numbers that small still so I wasn't sure.
