Ah yes... The High Power Schedule button. When we first got the 700s we had a captain who pushed that button about 35 times over the course of a week because it got him there faster (which was important back when fuel costs didn't matter). What he didn't know is that each time you hit that button it knocks something like 500 hours off the life of the engine. I guess there is a reason it's a guarded switch.

I'd file that under "things I won't try because I'm not sure how I could explain that away in the chief pilots office."

Kind of like during a huffer start when the starter got stuck at about 16%N2 and the captain said "go ahead and try to introduce fuel, see what it does."

"Uhh, I'd rather not."
 
Today was good day for flying.

N57 for gas then to KLNS. Long time didn't see ya buddy :)
