I think the 402 was over the numbers at the end of the runway but I'm not sure. I am sure that I was nearly 2.5 miles away from that point on the runway.
Both shots were taken using the digital zoom feature of my new camera and only slightly cropped in Photoshop.

Nothing exciting. There was some airshow (plane pulling contest?) at IAD the other day and we happened to be taxiing out at the right time. Got sequenced right behind them and had a few moments for a photo while tower figured out how to launch them since they wanted to go in formation. Sounded like they all had flight plans filed with different speeds and altitudes, but wanted to stick together.

Thanks! As it were, I just wrote a blog post about my 'traveling light' setup. All Nikon bodies with a mix of Nikon & Sigma glass. LR3 (soon to be 4) for most post processing.

Nope, no issues. I typically keep my gear in my nondescript messenger bag until I'm ready to shoot. We've been around the world with no issues yet [knocks on wood] so hopefully I don't have to give my camera up to some thug one of these days. I've always hoped I could talk them into letting me keep my memory card if I do get mugged
Haven't been to Rio Dulce but it looks like fun too. Too much world, too little time & money.

I can fit a few sets of clothes, my camera gear, some food, and the other various essentials in it; and unless you know LowePro, it really only looks like a small backpack.
