thanks. i carry a sony dsc h20 in the airplane, as a dslr isn't very compatible with a hawker cockpit. if i'm going anywhere interesting, i bring along my d200. but that one won't be around much longer.

just ordered a new d300s off of bh :rawk:. should be at my house on the 23rd.

i really wanted a d700, but i just can't justify replacing all the glass as well as the body.

Right on, yeah we have a little Olympus p&s that I carry on occasion but would love to have that new Sigma to cart around. It even shoots in RAW!

I do haul my SLR gear around on occasion. Still have my first DSLR the ol' trusty D40X which shoots amazingly well and has a small body so that is nice to tote around as well. Speaking of which, it is sensor cleaning time...

Have fun with the 300S, the quick live view button, SD card slot and video make it very attractive!

Gne! I've been following your pics! Very nice. Can I have your job? I think your living my dream job. I'd love to move to Colorado eventually, although Idaho ain't too bad either where I live now. What kind of Hawker do you fly and what kind of company?

Current stomping grounds for the next few days, then off to who knows where.

BKL rocks. I did my first XC there way back in the day, which was 2006.

No points for guessing the second one...

i know a d200 that will be for sale soon.

Niiiice!

Sure you don't want to keep the D200 around for backup? Since I shoot for pay, I look at it from a different perspective but might be nice to have around if you ever need to send the D300 in for cleaning or repairs :)

I have 3 bodies now, and plan to have my first full frame body next year sometime :)

Today started off a cruddy day, nothing it seemed was going right. After lunch I was thinking about going home early but instead ended up giving a BFR to a pretty cool guy in his Aeronca. Having that tailwheel really pays off sometimes. This flight was like a complete reset for me. I didn't have my good camera but did make use of my phone.

Can you spot the end of our runway?!

I think this Airknocker is my 37th or 38th different type at this point. Dang I love this flying thing.

swiss and armando, nice pics. esa that looks like a good time.

bike- i thought about keeping the extra body as a back up, but i shoot for fun, and if the 300 breaks i'm not losing out on any work. of course if i were shooting for cash, the 200 would have backed up the 700 i would have gotten. for my purposes, the 300 alone is fine, i'll sell the 200 and put the money towards glass.

I'm thinking this was about 2006, possibly in the fall, but nonetheless it is my favorite photo of an AA MD-80:

Apologies for the sizes on the first two.
