Presdient Kupchella.
needs to cancel school when it goes -40C and or when there is a pile of snow deep enough to lose students walking to class
He doesn't do that... "oh well you grew up in North Dakota, you should be able to deal with this"......rrrrrrrrrrrrright.
I just love starting my car when it's negative 40 knowing full well that there is no oil lubricating anything for like 2 minutes.![]()
Yeah.....especially in a high compression engine. I can just hear the pistons scraping the cylinder walls *cchhhhhhzzzzzzrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* or however it phonetically sounds![]()
5w-30 or 0w-30 for the WIN:nana2:
I'd have been like hey what up, look it's a post about you! He is actually a nice guy but I bet he sits in his warm home that gets the first plowing.

I use 5W-30 too. I can still "hear" the metal to metal grinding...at least imagine it happening.
Hellz yeah! I'm not sure how our engines would compare if we took them apart and compared clearance and tolerances. I would venture to guess mines a little more lax. Mine still complains during start up. Sure it cranks slower, but it sure as heck sounds different as well. It's like "shishishishishi, shiiiiiitttttt!"![]()
Honda engines are known for being "too precise" therefore unrebuildable, maybe that's a bad thing for cold weather... but then again, maybe it's better since it has little room to move out of line. I have been looking for a winter car... so far, nothing available that would be reliable. I found a 1993 Ford Taurus with 66,000 miles on it but the guy wanted $1000 (!!!!!!) for it. I said thanks but no thanks. Oh yeah, it's on transmission #3... a sign to stay away. Hopefully I can find a beat-up 5-speed Subaru Justy...drift-mobile.
If you're buying something with an auto, domestics are the only way to go if you want reliability. I dont know what it is with foreign car makers. They'll make kick ass engines and the suddenly go mentally retarded and make the worst abomination in the world called a "transmission" or something.
Sure there's those oddball cars that actually last. Consistantly, domestic autos are superior in every way. However, the rest of the car will surely make you want to throw up. haha Unless you're getting a post 98 GM or something. Which if you did, I think the world would explode. Unless you bought a GTO or zo6 corvette. How 'bout it?
I'd definitly run away from that taurus. You should probably buy a buick century or park ave. Hey, they've got 3800s in them at least. Or how about the next best thing, a 91 olds cutlass with the 3300(a smaller stroke and odd fire version of the 3800). :nana2:
:yeahthat:surely you just forgot thetag in that post, right?
:yeahthat:
If we're comparing automatics. Then yes, they are more reliable.
