Wow! I just stumbled across this thread, I've been in planes/airports the past few days and typing this from my phone while eating lunch. I did not expect this at all and I'm completely speechless. Big thanks to Dan, Doug, Kristie and the rest of members on here. I promise I will write a little more later when I get a chance.

I think the person most deserving of Dan's donation is CRJDriver.

And Kristie and I are going to throw in two nights at the Palms Casino Resort, free of charge.

CRJDriver, even when furloughed, stayed positive, offered guidance and would regularly share job opportunities he's found on the internet right here on our forum. Even when he was trying to search for a job for himself, he was helping others find employment. Take a peek at the "Jobs Available" forums over the last year.

He didn't become bitter, enraged or negative, he kept his head up and helped others when many other people would have spent the time focused on themselves.

The one guy who was in a position to be begging for help was the among the first to offer it to others.

Now with the announcement of cutbacks at Comair, instead of lashing out, he asks for an Aviation Career Expo flyer to put up in the lounge to help his fellow pilots at Comair know about the job fair and perhaps find a life raft in a turbulent time for their company.

Again, pressing forward to help others even when he was in a time of need himself.

Never becoming bitter.

Upholding the spirit of "pay it forward" to his fellow aviators.

It will be an honor to personally recommend him to the recruiters of his choice at the event and make sure they understand the caliber of person he is.

Thanks again to Doug, Kristie and Dan. This is truly appreciated! I've been looking forward to ACE for some time now and excited about promoting it as well, especially since the announcement of cutbacks here at Comair and I am hoping something will come out of it, not only for me, but others as well.

CRJ, although I told Doug to choose whomever he felt deserving, I secretly had you in mind. I wanted him to make the decision, but I am glad you were chosen. You seem to follow the same philosophies I do, never burn a bridge and whenever possible, try to help others in need. Enjoy the time in Las Vegas, and I hope that this opportunity allows you to move forward with your career.

I think that is a little too much, a Ben Franklin in Vegas will be gone pretty quick, but a recommendation at Spirit (when hiring starts) would last longer

I would like to offer for CRJ his airfare to LAS if it is needed. If not, I am sure that Doug can help me find another way to help. Stick together guys. We are all we have for each other! Fly safe and I am very happy to see this brotherhood.

Since I have already purchased tickets to NetworkJC and the Expo a long time ago and now with Dan's generous offer, instead of refunding that money, can I just donate those tickets/money or use that money to buy some JC/ACE t-shirts for some folks?
