CRJ 200 - the Nickelback of the skies

Gotta love when that gear comes down. It literally sounds like the end of the world is near. Oh, and those brakes. I wonder if triple nickel is still around. ;)
*Crying* stop making fun of my plane, i came off a 172 right to this and this is all i have to keep my frail ego inflated.

Listening to -200 pilots jaggoff about their stupid pos turning them into superpilots makes me yearn for the days of blowing by them on the parallel inside the marker. No autopilot, no fa, no bathroom, no water, and no damn idea what altitude capturing was because the tprop couldn't even come with that option

Where to begin...

I come from the land of metroliners, jetstreams, chieftains and Banderantes. Ya'll can kiss my shiny black ass as the CRJ is far superior to what the commuter, whoops, regional model used to be! :)

So you're not proud of your 1900 roots? It's better than the San Antonio Sewer Pipe and the Junkstream.

I'm surprised the thrust reverser's wasn't mentioned.

Some of us are used to beta or real reversers.

Sounds a heck of a better than the Rube Goldberg sounds coming from an Airbus when it gets going.

Now hold up! :)

I'd take the metro over the 1900 any day! :)

For all that bombardier got wrong with the -200, the CL30/35 is a completely different machine. It's a great flying machine with amazing performance. It's the best bang for your buck in it's the market. The Globals are nice also. Their short field performance is amazing and it can have ref speeds in the low 90kt range allowing it to virtually get into anywhere. Bombadier's new product have already shown that they will be performers. I'm excited to see how Delta uses them!

I bet I take a metro IN the 1900 any day!

There are a couple of CL30s and a Global 6000 here at the home drome and this is in par with everything I hear about them. They're pretty slick.

Just curious, how does the CRJ-200 compare to the ERJ-145? Both seem to be about the same size and serve the same purpose. Does the ERJ suffer from the same drawbacks as the CRJ does?

Not really, the ERJ stays cool, has FADEC, the thrust reversers actually work, climbs slightly better, has windows that arent by your knee. About the only thing that isnt better are the avionics. Overall Id much rather fly a 145 over a 200. The 700/900 fixed a lot of the issues the 200 had.

Jumpseat is more comfortable on the CRJ. Still a torture device, but way better than the POS on the ERJ.
