CRJ 200 - the Nickelback of the skies

8.) The overhead bins can’t hold anything more than a laptop bag

Tell that to every captain with a 26" luggageworks. Not to mention some of the stuff flight attendants jam in there!

I was on a 717 and heard someone complaining that the plane is so small:confused:

Well, it is shorter than a 900.

Plus, this. Deadhead in the back of a 717.

It used to be the "whisper jet". When I was at Comair academy in 1993, a couple of recent grads flew the first one into Sanford. The crew were in full "Top Gun-lick my super sized sack" mode. It was beyond embarrassing watching all of the students rubbing one out in the cabin.

Then it was back to reality. Make $10/hr, none for ground, bend over for $13k PFT, start at $17k in a metroliner, Saab, or Brasilia.

The SJS was strong back then.

We do need, on occasion, to remind ourselves that this is actually cool.

A lot of responsibility, and serious work, and a job, to be sure, but it is still pretty cool.

(this is in no way forgiving or encouraging SJS)

I come from the land of metroliners, jetstreams, chieftains and Banderantes. Ya'll can kiss my shiny black ass as the CRJ is far superior to what the commuter, whoops, regional model used to be! :)

Both quoted for scripture.

Crawl from the back of a Metro 2 and you can complain.
