CRJ 200 - the Nickelback of the skies

At least the landing gear is somewhat quiet. On the ERJ145 it literally sounds lik

No experience but as a passenger...I love the CRJ. Also like Bombardier at a level just shy of fanboy.

How 'bout you shut your blasphemy hole. They only make aircraft. And that three wheel abomination never existed,
Fake news! Don't get me started on those damn trains, either.

Its about the only airplane I don't even bother looking up at. If I see its a CRJ I go back to what I was doing. The most uninspiring POS airplane every to grace the skies.

I come from the land of metroliners, jetstreams, chieftains and Banderantes. Ya'll can kiss my shiny black ass as the CRJ is far superior to what the commuter, whoops, regional model used to be! :)

And if things couldnt get any worse the 200 doesn't have autothrottles. You mean I gotta fly this damn thing?

I've read all the comments about the reverses being useless etc, but that has not been my experience. They're pretty effective in stopping in my experience.

When I flew 200 it seemed like they were only good at making noise for about 5 seconds, then you had to stow them. Unless you had a long runway, and planned on rolling to the end.

I thought it was easy to land unless it was gusty, then the nose down attitude was a little weird.

And the author definitely has never flown the e190. It takes way more resets than the CRJ did.

I hate riding in the back. It's hot, cramped, bad airflow, hot, and cramped. I'll be glad to see them go.

Just curious, how does the CRJ-200 compare to the ERJ-145? Both seem to be about the same size and serve the same purpose. Does the ERJ suffer from the same drawbacks as the CRJ does?

The ERJ is a vastly superior flying machine...but that's not saying much.

I don't understand what the article is saying about CRJ-200 landings, the trailing link gear made landings super easy.
From a pilot perspective, I agree. In the back, it sounds like the free falls down when the gear goes down. Also, the tires create a lot of "road noise" (or is it runway noise?) so I think that is what the article is referring to.
