Corona Airport (KAJO) Going Under Water Again?

Yes, I had read that the other day, so I have no idea whose plane the person I spoke with, is referring to. I am confused because he mentioned a Bellanca specifically and I thought that was what Frank flies, so I hope he must be mistaken and as I stated, there can"t be two of them there.

Why can't there be two???

I just didn't think there were that there were many around that area. I can always be wrong though. There are a couple of hundred planes out there so I don't know. I know they have some home built aircraft and antique planes out there as well however and I hear it's reasonable rent for a hangar there. But go ahead and keep up the needling if you like.

For those of you who know Corona here was the fuel island at noon today.

That's why I am concerned if this story is true and if it's Frank's plane or not. I am sure hoping that it's not.

Corona is down to two Super Vikings, my aircraft is high and dry at Chino. The aircraft lost was a Triple Tail. Not this one but a model like it.

Best guess there are 17 aircraft locked in submerged hangars and about 5 in tie downs.
Seriously? That is awful, really a shame. Very sorry to hear this. The guys that I was talking to today mentioned that they heard a Bonanza was submerged also.

Btw, I just had a chance to look at your site/blog and it's very nice. You really enjoy yourself. Great photos. I am looking forward to watching the videos when I get the chance.

I wasn't needling. Just curious if you had some other information about Bellanca basing at Corona. :dunno:

Well I'm glad we're getting some more rain tonight. Sure need it. Nothing is soggy enough yet and the dams aren't overflowing. I haven't flown over corona since it rained. Was that earlier today?

I took those Christmas Eve about 3:00pm.

Went to Tehachapi yesterday, good bit of snow on the peaks, and wow it was windy at that airport and the up/downdrafts are wicked with the winds that strong. I'm guessing they were in the 4000fpm range.
