Try the In n' Out on Lincoln/Sepuleveda on the way out. 30 sec. from the airport and you can watch the planes land (from short final) and enjoy a quality burger at the same time. No airplane garden, though... just a lot of people that work at the airport, tourists, college students from LMU, and locals like me. (at least when I lived in the neighborhood)

Looks like another good place to spot and get a good meal. The museum is not that far too from there. Great area to have some fun and enjoy airplanes. Thanks for the pictures!
 
It's a great restaurant, tons of Tuskegee Airmen stuff inside. I ate there with a friend when I spent 2 weeks in LAX for Training a year ago, it was pretty nice to watch all the heavies come screaming over. Wasn't much more expensive than maybe the Red Lobster.

Oh, and Kobe burgers are the shiznit.
