I saw this site tonight. Actually saw a Mooney M20M that was up over 400 knots over the ground - holy cow.

182 In a cessna 152? I really want to call BS on that one, but who knows...
Not bad...I've been up to 170. 204 in a 182rg. I would still like to call bs on the 152, just because if I accept it the universe will fold over on itself and cause a rip in the space time continuum...just like if you divided by 0.I've done 193 in a 172. Between TUS and ELP.

Just wait for a day when the 700mb flow hits 100+ kts and go flying.

It's pretty amazing that the record holder on there for commercial aircraft has been out of service for almost a decade and will probably keep that record for a very long time. Kind of sad actually. The site is pretty good and most of the claims have the GPS/FMS pics to back up the info. It was amazing to see some of the speeds the Commerical aircraft had over the ground.

I did 145 coming out of Paris, TX in an Ercoupe 415C with a little ole C-85 up front.
I'm going to bet that was MPH, not knots. And, you were pedalling because you had nothing else to do with your feet.![]()
