Contract Negotiations / Agreement

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Oh, one last thing, DO NOT bring bullets, guns, or any other weapons to work(not even if left in your vehicle). That and alcohol are your fastest ways to be walked right out(possibly in handcuffs).

LOL there has to be a story behind this.

Yep, someone at thee academy got booted for either showing a bullet around to his buddies or playing around with it in class. Security goes out and searches his car and the gun is in his glove box and is immediately escorted off the property. This happened in the past two years I think.

A Devlopemental in my area was there the night it happened. They locked down the MMAC that night. Talk about a career killer, lol.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

What a moron, any idiot who owns a gun should know that they are illegal to carry on federal property without exception. Culling the herd.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

What about those people who have casings on necklaces and key chains...busted?

Re: Contract Negotiations...

I guess the $64,000 question I would ask is, "why even tempt fate?" Better to just leave the potentially career damaging jewelry at home and have a job. Just my $.02.

yep, but seriously if a person lacks the common sense not to leave that stuff at home, do we really want them controlling the fate of thousands of people on a daily basis?

I think common sense would be not to blow out of proportion a shell casing on a key chain. But what do I know?

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Stupid people end up in OKC. Look around you MMAC Students.
Imagine the people who can't pass the MMPI, psych test, what ever the hell it's called.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

I see absolutely no info about the contract negotiations on Ruth's website. It's basically just a campaign website. Not really applicable to this discussion. We get it, you don't like Pat, but his website has by far the most relevant information on contract negotiations.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

I would have to be a complete dumbass to try that link.
Go to FAA Follies or The Main Bang if you want a controllers prespective.
www.ruthmarlin.com is where it's at, I got two turn tables and a microphone.

You'd have to be a bigger dumbass to believe Ruth Marlin.:sarcasm: Anyone that actually knows her says she is a nice person, but not completely there. She has a history of being a pushover too.

Pat has been exactly what we needed in trying times. We are in fight with the "school bully". You do not win by punching back with. You have to weaken your opponent by gaining social support. A tactic Pat has used quite successfully since taking over John Carr/Ruth Marlin's mess of negotiations.

Since we are a cost to the tax payer, we cannot use the tactics that non-government unions make. Fighting for every advantage we can get is not the answer. Fighting for what is "fair" is.

Out of the three candidates running, only Pat advocates fighting for what is fair. Sit down and talk one on one with Ruth or Paul and you'll get "we will fight for the advantage." That is a fight we cannot win. Management will always be here. NATCA should always be here. The only way to get what we want is through a fair process, Management gives a little, NATCA gives a little, and we all get what is best in the long run.

If we act out and demand too much we will lose support in a heartbeat from congress and our president. Without that support, we are subject to whatever the FAA wants.

Really? and who might that be, everyone I've talked to seems to think she is very intelligent and certainly not a pushover, perhaps just not the right person for president. Who have you been talking to?

Several people that I have met, and personally talking with her one on one for about 30 min at a forum.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Also I should have added the sarcasm tag to the dumbass part. You aren't a dumbass for voting, even if your misguided. Your only a dumbass for being eligible to vote, and not voting.:)

:wtf?:

Okay, thanks for the kind words! Maybe if you weren't a "dumbass", you would have seen that I posted that link in response to people who wanted to see Pat's weekly update but who are not NATCA members and couldn't access it on the NATCA website. I was in no way trying to endorse a candidate, as I'm not even a member.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Can everybody just shut up about your own God givin oppinion and get back to the topic at hand?

pat? ruth? it doesnt matter. what does matter is our contract negotiations which is what this thread was made for, if you have trouble with reading.

And that MMPI comment? WTH? From the sound of it youve never taken it OR have a clue the way its graded.

Re: Contract Negotiations...

Do I have to put people in time out here?

Be friendly, or step away from the computer and pull out a coloring book for a while.
