Continental side hiring

I did thi I did this the last time UA had an opening and I also had internal recs and never got a call. So when I put in for AA recently, I did cut and paste the resume in the plain text part, but also attached a second copy at the end. Most job hunting books recommend you do this, and I think you should to, because if you don't and Taleo is doing a key word search, even though you may have those qualifications, if they are buried in an attached word document, they wont be found by the software and you may not get called.

Good to know, thanks...

Looks like there is some movement on getting interviews i reviewed my application today and it was updated (yesterday) and i didnt do that so im assuming calls/emails will be coming very soon

I haven't heard anything, but will keep and eye on my Inbox/Voicemail. I see my application was updated on the 21st. My guess is either they will get out what they can this week or expect something after Turkey Day!

I have been working graveyards this week and still have not gotten an answer. I think they are talking to internal candidates right now.

From what I've heard the class is supposed to start a month from today, any word on whether or not anything has gone out to external candidates? I'm of the impression that there will only be a few in any case.

I got a unconfirmed source from my company that said her contact at United said the class isn't suppose to start til March now. I can't confirm or deny this as its second hand information.

Hm. Not sure if that makes me feel better or worse but I've probably pestered my contacts there to the borderline so I'll muster up some patience in the mean time.

I am hearing the class is going to be delayed a little with the holiday delaying interviews. Some patience would be good.

Just logically thinking it will have to be delayed as the background checks usually take 30-60 days.

Also the sCO side is still has a bunch of folks to train on Sabre FWZ plus (in theory) there is an international upgrade class that is due.

So, in the aspect of simplicity it seems easier to delay the new hire vs the others. That's my 2 cents worth.
