I think my contempt for the word "pilot shortage" is well known, but the upward progression will begin soon. Even with the recession and worthlessness of mainline pilot's to retain scope, I believe things will finally be moving forward a little starting summer of next year. 2016 before anything major though.

Hedged to 3.50/gallon and the airlines crumble because they gave all the money to the CEO. I'm sure we as pilots will make up the difference for them.

What makes you say that? It didnt get that high during middle-east unrest last sring and now that qadaffi and his glamrock wardrobe are buried I think prices will fall even more.
Well there is that big factor which everyone ignores that oil is non renewable.
