Compass sold to TSA Holdings!

Sorry for the stupid question, but TSA Holdings now has three airlines - TSA, GoJet, and Compass - will they eventually merge the seniority lists, or keep all three seperate? How unionized is the Compass pilot group? If they are radical, this can't help but be a good thing for the TSA guys as I would think it would bolster support and numbers against the initial GoJet pilots.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a single carrier petition from the Compass and Trans States guys.

The Compass contract is, as I understand it, head and shoulders above the Trans States and GoJets contracts, so this could be good for the Trans States and GoJets pilot groups, but I doubt it's going to be positive for the Compass guys; they just got sold to what is, in my mind hands down, the worst management group in the airline industry.

I would, frankly, look at Colgan, Pinnacle and Mesa as shining examples how how to treat a pilot group correctly when compared to Trans States. I've heard some real horror stories from Trans States guys.

Without a doubt, Trans states has one of the most ruthless anti pilot management in existence right now. I'm almost positive that the owner of TS has a framed picture of Frank Lorenzo himself hidden somewhere in his mansion.

CZ/TSA ALPA is already talking about integration but who knows what will happen, what complicates things for management is that TSA is actually pretty close to being released for self help. Maybe they're going to be in a generous mood now that Hulas finally got his E170s.

Does anyone know if the a/c were part of the sale? I know they are owned/leased by Delta, but 20 million seems quite small for the inclusion of the aircraft in the sale.

99% sure both Compass and Mesaba were purchases of staffing companies with no aircraft assets.

I guess that still gives Delta the right to play DCI musical aircraft! Now's the time for DALPA to get those 175's on property as quickly as possible!

Hmmmmmm. They're hiring too. I always said that if I were to go back to the regionals, it would be a company like Compass. Now, that seems like it would be a real gamble (not like it isn't always a gamble anyways)

Just curious but what was the big attraction of Compass? The flow through? From what I read on APC pay and other items look so-so. Nothing really special.

Really? I thought they were one of the better ones for work rules, etc. I don't keep really close tabs on that stuff though. And, yes, the flow through is a huge deal but who knows what would happen to that now too.

I broke down and applied a couple weeks ago, and yeah, it was solely because of the flow. No other reasons, and even with the flow I still felt dirty filling out the app. :laff:

Wouldn't think twice about declining an interview offer at this point.

I have been furloughed since February. I interviewed and was offered a position a week before this was all announced. I was really excited before this news, and now I'm not sure what to think. TSA? Really??? Ugh.

Not too long ago, I remember people touting Compass as one of the best regionals for QOL. What changed?

What are the best regionals QOL-wise now??

Weren't you at Mesa? I think Compass will still be a step up with their contract and all.
