Compass sold to TSA Holdings!

Didn't RA say they were gonna work more closely with the wholly-owned?

Yeah, last time RA was in charge of an airline, they bought a contract carrier, beat them down, and sold them off. Looks like he just did it again in a two-for.

I pretty much always had a gut feeling that Compass was being set up as the next Express Airlines I/Pinnacle. Then when NWA bought Mesaba, I kinda got that same feeling. I hate when I'm right....

:yeahthat:

"The beatings will continue until morale improves."

I'm taking bets we have a new base or two in the next year or two.
From Reuters:

Delta spokeswoman Kristin Baur said in a statement that the Comair regional unit was also "considered by interested parties during the exploratory sale process" but garnered no purchase offers. Comair is Delta's remaining wholly-owned regional subsidiary, she said.

Don't sell yourself short. You're worth at least another $15-$20.

Actually, after reading some of the sale agreement. It turns out Delta gave Pinnacle money just to take us and compass (TSA) off their hands. We we're even worth 5 bucks for the DAL pilots. That sucks.

I wonder when pinnacle files for bankruptcy if they'll get to keep Mesaba and not pay, and Delta will lose even more money and take it out of DAL pilots paycheck. You guys have been ATM's for them before.

So it looks like Compass and Delta just got cozy with a 10 year agreement...is that something new or was that previously agreed to?

The Flow is between the Delta pilots and the Mesaba and Compass pilots. Delta pilots will sell us out for another $5-10 bucks an hour.

Interesting in the first statement you talk of how we have an agreement between the 2 pilot groups, and in the second you go on to insult us. Nicely played. Don't go into politics in your next career.

Unless something has drastically changed with the demographics of legacy pilot groups, I don't think he's too far off in saying that a flow like that would be sold out out for a $5 raise. It's certainly happened before.

I don't think he was being insulting but rather stating what sure looks like the obvious from a lot of us stuck in regional land.

I'm not in the slightest a politician.

EDIT: Looks like we ARE meeting to discuss the provisions to the flow. They aren't gonna terminate it immediately.

Pinnacle got the same with Mesaba. They had to declare some kind of contract deal as the wholly owneds (as Comair guys are painfully aware) don't have service agreements.
