Commute Air Off Runway at ROA

I made a cliche Airplane reference my last trip and the FO thought it was the funniest thing. Pretty sure he thought I made it up and told me he had to remember that one. I just stared in disbelief.
When I make references to young SICs that are unaware I tell them it would make them a better pilot if they were to watch the historical document that is, Airplane.

For us light GA folks, would extreme precip alone be a go around condition. I’m guessing not if two of the three continued
I remember taxiing at Pompano in a downburst, expecting to ask for an SVFR departure. Tower said no, back we go... C-172RG, remember them...

And then what? Judi-chop the Capt in the throat to get him to release his? He’s already not going around what makes you think he’s going to let go?

He might have frozen. Are you going to die because you didn't feel like wrestling the CA for the controls? Press the freaking TOGA button and let the CA fly it then. Do SOMETHING. They could have killed every single person on that airplane that day. They are LUCKY they the magic cement stopped them. If I fear I am going to go off the runway or worse, I am doing something. If you are at the point of commanding a go-around, you are assuming that you will not have a successful landing. I place blame on the FO here. Very little blame, but some blame.
