It's good to have a positive outlook on things. I have found that my own key to happiness is to be thankful for the things that I have.Down the street is a guy that is furloughed ACA/Indy, furloughed Netjets, and started a car repair business that burned down 3 months after putting his savings into it. The Landlord did not carry insurance.
I just read on another forum about how a college senior was diagnosed with brain cancer, it was removed, but the doctors are giving him a 5-25 year lifespan based upon the tumor coming back and mutating. He's 23.
Just when you think you have it bad, somewhere else someone has it really bad.
Not sure where I was going with this, but hearing these stories always makes me feel better about my situation no matter how bad it is.
Giving up flying voluntarily is one thing, being forced out is another. I hope for the best for those going thru this right now.
By the way, a great book about someone that did well (quite well, in fact) with a bad situation is Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner.
