Comair the end?

Down the street is a guy that is furloughed ACA/Indy, furloughed Netjets, and started a car repair business that burned down 3 months after putting his savings into it. The Landlord did not carry insurance.

I just read on another forum about how a college senior was diagnosed with brain cancer, it was removed, but the doctors are giving him a 5-25 year lifespan based upon the tumor coming back and mutating. He's 23.

Just when you think you have it bad, somewhere else someone has it really bad.

Not sure where I was going with this, but hearing these stories always makes me feel better about my situation no matter how bad it is.

Giving up flying voluntarily is one thing, being forced out is another. I hope for the best for those going thru this right now.
It's good to have a positive outlook on things. I have found that my own key to happiness is to be thankful for the things that I have.

By the way, a great book about someone that did well (quite well, in fact) with a bad situation is Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner.

More and more CRJ-200s seem to be piling up in storage here at TUS.
A few years back it seemed that an Irish airline bought some AVROs in bulk IIRC from Mesaba and took a lot of pilots on a license validation/expat contract... Maybe with cheap RJs maybe there will be an opportunity some day.

I am so sorry to hear this. It could happen to anyone.
For any individual using this emoticon::rawk: I just gotta say, grow up please, and don't lie to our faces saying you were just trying to help.

I don't see much of a silver lining to this, unless as stated mainline starts picking up the flying. Would like to see scope taken back...

I don't even know where I'll be on Tuesday:D Gotta love reserve! I'm looking forward to all my deadheads to JFK to cover flying, just like I did last month but in DTW. Wait, where am I based again? :D

I hear you man. There are at least 3 legs that go through JFK on the trip im about to start, and i talked to another FO buddy of mine-he's on a JFK overnight. All kinda odd.

Damn, I have a buddy at Comair who just rearranged his life when he got called back a couple months back and now he's screwed again. Sucks to hear it, but I'm sure there are a boat load of people in his position right now.:(

I hope this means some of the new 737-700s are going to be taking on current CRJ900/700 routes.

That's what DAL is saying as of today. They want to use their mainline equipment to replace the 50 seaters
