Comair the end?

Doug or Cptchia could probably add more but the Delta guys I know say they are replacing some of the regional flying with MD88/90 flying.

Well, they very indirectly allude to that, but with everything, I generally don't believe it until I see it. Been down that road a number of times in my last 13 years.

Lee Moak will probably pull a "hail mary" to relax 70 seat-plus scope, arrange for the new jets to go to CMR, thus 'saving' the pilot group and securing a large voting bloc for his upcoming election at national, but that's just my union foil hat rabble-rousing.

I can't say that would go over real well, considering...

Damn, I have a buddy at Comair who just rearranged his life when he got called back a couple months back and now he's screwed again. Sucks to hear it, but I'm sure there are a boat load of people in his position right now.:(

I hope this means some of the new 737-700s are going to be taking on current CRJ900/700 routes.

Common word around here is that this big news is a replay action scare tactic/threat for negotiations.

Hmm... I still believe they'll get rid of the 50 seaters.

Hey CRJ when are you going to be up there? I start a 4 day on saturday!
Hopefully at somepoint i'll run into you and SoulBrotha!

I'll be up there Sunday evening for a nice ready reserve;)

Ah go figure....this trip doesnt go through DTW sunday or monday. On saturday its a noon show, but on tuesday there are 3 legs that go through DTW and hopefully finished by 1300 if your around.

I don't even know where I'll be on Tuesday:D Gotta love reserve! I'm looking forward to all my deadheads to JFK to cover flying, just like I did last month but in DTW. Wait, where am I based again? :D

Down the street is a guy that is furloughed ACA/Indy, furloughed Netjets, and started a car repair business that burned down 3 months after putting his savings into it. The Landlord did not carry insurance.

I just read on another forum about how a college senior was diagnosed with brain cancer, it was removed, but the doctors are giving him a 5-25 year lifespan based upon the tumor coming back and mutating. He's 23.

Just when you think you have it bad, somewhere else someone has it really bad.

Not sure where I was going with this, but hearing these stories always makes me feel better about my situation no matter how bad it is.

Giving up flying voluntarily is one thing, being forced out is another. I hope for the best for those going thru this right now.

Wheelsup I think that is very appropriate.... I have not a clue how it feels to get a 2nd notice.... But with one under my belt, I went out that night and celebrated with the wife. Knowing that it was not the end of the world and that I would not allow it to bring me down.... I found a job, outside of aviation shortly there after, and put my efforts into that... Things are going to happen... It is how you react that will tell a lot about a persons character.... Much like CJ and others they are doing a great job in showing us how to be professional even with such terrible news....
