Colgan loses AUG

The beech has no problem with anything. Ever. The 1900 can even carry 34 people. Steps are:

  1. Fill empty Saab up with 34 people and bags and door open, batteries on.
  2. Attach strong chain to back of 1900
  3. Attach chain to nose gear strut of Saab
  4. Fill 1900 with Gas
  5. Taxi carefully
  6. Takeoff dragging Saab behind
  7. Landing can be tricky, make sure you have qualified passenger to operate brakes on saab (that's why we left the batts on).
  8. Taxi to gate carefully.

9. Refuel the Beech for the return flight.

Just got the call today the Buffalo base is closing. I was REALLY looking forward to moving home! Oh well, reserve in ALB it is.

Too bad that AUG is leaving... I jumpseat on that about once a month or so... Can you even jumpseat on cape air?

A few items with this...

-Just because the town board says they want an airline doesn't mean they DOT will go with that other airline.

-With that said, usually the DOT does side with the town.

-There are some GREAT people that work that station.

-Yes, you can commute on Cape Air.

You can say that again. Cape Air is great to Jumpseat on. They got me my own 402 one time (they were repoing the aircraft) from ACK to BOS.

Hell, I used to say that we'd get you on if you showed up in something that looked like a uniform and a badge written in purple crayon. Come one, come all. :)

Good luck to Cape Air with AUG. Their RKD route is very popular (strange referring to Cape Air as "they" now ).
