Colgan (again)

What if you went to ATP???? I have 315TT and about 130 Multi would I have a chance. I also just started with ATP as an instructor and wanted to get some more time is it worth it

prob need more total time than that. 2 ppl in my class a yr ago were from atp, both instructors. They both had around 600TT but a buttload of multi if I remember correctly. THey both could fly their pants off though. Ask Gatechkid, he may have more insight.

A lot of the guys I've talked to, who haven't been from Colgan's cities, actually want the "airline" life.

Me being from Upstate NY, I would prefer somewhere other than Colgan, but I'd take it without hesitation.

and from another thread....

I refuse to work for SkyWest. No contract...No Union...NO THANK YOU.

Uh, you do know Colgan is also non-union, right?

As far as Colgan getting the -900s, that'll happen right after the purchase order from Pinnacle goes through. Seriously. That's a huge rumor around here right now, that we bought Colgan. Personally, I think it's a bunch of senior CAs trying to start something....

bought colgan, hahaha, lol. Last I heard, and saw, we are buying up all your old saabs sitting around. Not that they were worth much! The youngers colgans are running the show now, and they wouldn't sell. The company has doubled in size in 2 years, and the rumors have more expansion coming down the pipe soon. MAybe they are building it up to sell it. Who knows! Well, never say never i guess.

The only reason I would work for Colgan is because they have an upstate NY base. Also CJC is such a small company, a union really isn't needed like it is at SKW.

A) No way that they can guarantee ITH as a base. You can be sent to TYR or SHD.

B) That dude Saab was one of the biggest jerks I have EVER met in aviation. Can't believe everything you read.

C) We are going to be expanding that is all I have to say.

Well I'd take SYR, BGM or ITH. Need to live at home for a while longer to keep KeyBank off me.

They will not guarantee a base.

You can get your first choice but it can take at least six months. What happens if you get the Beech? It will take a year to get Albany.

Speaking of my peeps at Colgan, anyone notice the new graphic? :)

The good old nineteenhondy representing!

I'd have gotten a "D" but all of them had the USAirways livery and it's just my way of giving a finger to D. Parker!

I would have loved to fly the C Model.

I think it would have been hilarious to have my fat a$$ try to get in and out of em!

The C's just look fast and sleek. I was never a fan of the D's looks, but man that thing flew like a BMW.

Best flying plane of my career thus far. The 737 was squirrelly, the MD-88/90 you have to get 'used to', my unofficial 727 time, it few alright, but the 'hondy' was crisp and neat.
