Colgan 3389 to ORD?

Not when you're flying it down to CAT III(A) mins and can do it single engine ;)

Do your RJ's do that? (the ones you got from QX don't count!)

:D:beer:

Actually not even the ones we got from QX can anymore. Partially because they disabled the HUD, partially because you can't shoot a catIII in a hangar :-P

It's not so much ORD as it is the ORD "chicagojets express" operation....which colgan is thus far insulated from (for now).

Although it gets fun when you have no readbacks (hope you heard that 150 word taxi clearance correctly the first time), the usual foreign carrier is lost and trying to get progressives while someone else is taxiing around with a stuck mic. I wonder why they have runway incursions there? :sarcasm:

Somtimes I think the taxiways work better in stuck mic mode though....RJ's give way to airbuses give way to 767's give way to 747's....look both ways and just try to get to your gate. ;)

What are you not a fan of the "goof on the roof"?:D

Too bad, HUD's are pretty damn cool! Guess that super regional isn't so super??? :)... I keed, I keep

Depends which 700's we gave you... Some were better than others.

We had two Q4's we got from China...424 and 425QX... They were the biggest POS' I've ever flown.

N600QX, N604QX, N606QX, and N608QX.

Being IAD based I really don't know much about them other than that they are rolling around ATL still in Horizon paint with the logos painted over (poorly). Also no ACARS and we haven't put first class in. So needless to say they're really popular!

Now I know what that 700 that looked a lot like a Horizon plane was doing on a A-gate last week.

Good ole 608, aka "Big Bird", it always looked "yellow" on the ramp...that plane got a repaint shortly before I started at Horizon, and it got alittle screwed up. If you see it next to one of the other former QX planes, you'll notice it's not exactly the same color. The paint shop used an ivory/offwhite color instead of a pure white. Sad thing is, no one noticed it until they got it back to PDX and sitting outside the MX shop.

This one? :)

I flew into ORD for the first time the other night. Didn't think it was that bad except our charts had the wrong ramp frequency. Yeah for poor oversight at 9E and "German efficiency" at LIDO.

But, yeah. CRJ-200 from JFK-ORD. Who the hell thought THAT was a good idea? No surprise we were oversold....
