Maybe on the East Coast...but certainly not in the PacNW!
A HUD on a turboprop? Seriously? ;-) that's like a fast car that is an automatic![]()
Not when you're flying it down to CAT III(A) mins and can do it single engine
Do your RJ's do that? (the ones you got from QX don't count!)
It's not so much ORD as it is the ORD "chicagojets express" operation....which colgan is thus far insulated from (for now).
Although it gets fun when you have no readbacks (hope you heard that 150 word taxi clearance correctly the first time), the usual foreign carrier is lost and trying to get progressives while someone else is taxiing around with a stuck mic. I wonder why they have runway incursions there?
Somtimes I think the taxiways work better in stuck mic mode though....RJ's give way to airbuses give way to 767's give way to 747's....look both ways and just try to get to your gate.![]()
Actually not even the ones we got from QX can anymore. Partially because they disabled the HUD, partially because you can't shoot a catIII in a hangar![]()
N600QX, N604QX, N606QX, and N608QX.
Being IAD based I really don't know much about them other than that they are rolling around ATL still in Horizon paint with the logos painted over (poorly). Also no ACARS and we haven't put first class in. So needless to say they're really popular!

All the single-pilot Sewer Tube drivers up in the PacNW just threw up a little bit in their mouthsMaybe on the East Coast...but certainly not in the PacNW!
Now I know what that 700 that looked a lot like a Horizon plane was doing on a A-gate last week.
