Cold weather King Air ops

I don't think a new KA can do that. They all leak like a sieve.

Yeah, I've got about 50 hours flying "new" King airs. Never forgot to flip it to normal...
just curious if that was a feature of old ass leaky birds that can't hold a cabin in low or if that was the norm...

What model king air? The 200 had inst/environ off, environ off and on. There is no low.

Next to the two enviro/pneu valves, switch selects low or normal for both sides. Low just gives you 50% less enviro air..
200 doesn't have it?

Nope. It's a real treat when you go from flying the 200 for a couple of weeks and go to the 350 and forget to turn it to normal.

At least the 350 has a "you're about to do something stupid light" at 10k'...
The 300 just drops the masks on you at 12.5 and says "you're stupid"..

Haha Bucksmith, I can tell you it holds 10k at 17.5.... damn switch!
