Well, I can't believe it, but in this day and age where interviews are hard to come by, I cancelled my intervirw at PW. I hope it was the right decision as PIC turbine time doesn't come cheap. But I figured there is just no place to go in this company and from the sound of things a lot of risk.

Trust me when I say that something better will come along. It's not worth going there and the heartache it would have caused you later.

With this site, just make it known what you would like to do with your career and someone on here will help you reach it. Just don't step one anyones toes and you should be a-ok!

We busted your balls pretty hard over this man... but I'm pretty sure that everyone on this website agrees you made the right choice. Despite MQAAOrd going postal on the thread, we're all about pay it forward - just take a look at the job ads here, and I'm sure that many a member would take a PM from you if you need some help getting an interview. Tough love is how we roll around here sometimes. It's for your own good though. You made the right decision, there will be better opportunities in your future.

Seriously, though, you will see in time that this was the right course of action...not for us, but for yourself. Congratulations on making a mature decision, now teach all your buddies to do the same and we'll all be better off.

Very good decision! Trust me, I worked there and even as a CA the place is beyond horrible. You made a very smart choice.

I erm, "strongly suspect" that cmill was yanking your chain (bad, bad cmill! Bad! ;) ). You did the right thing. Before you know it you'll be burning kerosene in the left seat for a company that treats you like a human being and you'll look back on this and realize you DEFINITELY made the right call. One of the last things we learn as human beings is Patience. You're ahead of the curve.

Rockman, what are your times right now? What is your "next step" goal...is it regional/freight hauling/etc. What is your ultimate goal with this addiction that we call a "career"?

I for one, am glad that you took the advice of the group here. It shows that have that ability to "listen" and not just hear, and that will serve you well in the future.

I know some of them members here have shown that "tough love" with regards to PW, and to show you we (as a group) mean the "pay it forward" and that we're here to help...I'm going to say someone on here will help point you in the direction that you seek.

Just make it known man, if there's anything I can do, I'm happy to help!

As SuferLucas points out, it's easy to be Against things. It's a lot harder to be For them. Tell us your Situation, tell us what you're Looking For, and someone around here will be able to Help, I'd bet my next beer on it.

Just know it is a long road. Taking wrong turns tends to make it longer. I've made a number of decisions, a few based based on mis-information and a few due to the nature of life and timing. It's never fun to look back at an opportunity and say, "well, I wish I had done that," but in this case, it was a wise choice where you will probably say, "I'm glad I didn't do that."

Well I appreciate the advice and complements from everyone, in fact I feel good about canceling it now. As for where I'm at, 2000TT, 20 Multi. I think ultimately I would like to fly for an air ambilance company, maybe even run it eventually but as for right now my next step is to find a 135 job somewhere. My flight instructing job pays the bills but the only time I get there is single engine piston, VFR day. Its probably going to be next summer before I can upgrade into the twin. Thanks again for the "tough love" everyone.

As always, questions about moderation can be directed at Doug. 7 pages of bickering got closed. Big deal. Passive-aggressive comments in another thread aren't going to change anything.

My best to the OP, if you feel that place is not for you, then good for you for listening to your gut and not going.

So glad to see that their are still good people out there willing to help out someone in need. Makes me keep my head up!! Espcially in these times! Though this post has nothing to do with me, you definately keep things positive!! Thanks for being a cool dude

Hey SurferLucas,

I have been monitoring this forum for a few weeks now, and it seems to be the best one on the net. I have applied to a lot of positions all over and haven't really heard much. Still crossing my fingers for an EJT interview. Currently working as a ferry pilot and flying a good 80-100 hours a month. Building mainly single time really fast. Getting by with the money. Looking for an SIC job anywhere really. I like corporate and airlines. I love flying and want to end up at fedex as I have some ins.
